During the period pictured here, 10 to 27 February, I scrutinized our long-lasting snowdrifts, their melting shapes and colors at different times of day. Midway, I sketched a dream in which a house had illuminated windows levitating all around it, and then played a game painting a snow landscape using the three primary colors and three secondaries. A crescent moon heralds a visit to North Carolina leading to studies of familiar beach houses testing a new palette of watercolors.
Again, thanks to Dina Brodsky for inviting me to share my sketchbooks via her website.

I’m now several pages into my next journal, Book 173.
