Suburban Journals: The Sketchbooks, Drawings, and Prints of Charles Ritchie, an exhibition of 60 works toured three institutions. The show which followed many of the artist's key themes from their sketchbook inception, through independent drawings, and into printed variations is documented in a 72-page full-color exhibition catalogue. Coauthored by the artist and writer/critic Peter Turchi and with a preface by Marjorie B. Cohn, Curator of Prints Harvard University Art Museums, the book is available through the University of Richmond Museums either by phone 804-287-6424 or museums@richmond.edu. Cost is fifteen dollars plus shipping. The book won first place in the "Books, Catalogues" category within its budget level as part of the South East Museums Conference 2005 18th Annual SEMC Publication Design Competition.
